We are looking for a Talent Manager. The primary function of this role will be to drive strategic and proactive areas of People & Culture (HR) delivery organization wide.
You can expect your primary responsibilities in this role to be:
Position Responsibilities:Strategic People & Culture:Maintain a pulse on the culture of the organization and proactively address culture building opportunities Support leaders with all areas of people management including manager coaching & development, team performance management and goal settingSupport the Talent Coordinator with the implementation of engaging culture events and internal team building activities Support team members across all areas with implementing improvement initiatives related to process, tools, culture etc.Manage the e-NPS bi-annual survey process and coordinate follow-up actions such as prioritizing culture improvement initiatives, communicating survey results etc. Support internal communications such as coordinating monthly company-wide townhalls and the implementation of other communication mechanisms
Recruitment/Onboarding:Lead the annual/quarterly staffing forecasting planning processLead and support the Talent Coordinator with strategic and creative sourcing support, advising on end to end recruitment strategies, offer negotiations etc.Continuously improve recruitment and selection processes, procedures and practices Create an EVP and lead a talent branding initiative to position Kepler as an employer of choice in the Toronto tech marketCreate and implement a community STEM outreach programDevelop and manage an employee onboarding program for new employees
Diversity & Inclusion:Create an overarching D&I strategy for KeplerImplement D&I programs and initiatives to attract and retain diverse talentImplement D&I programs and initiatives to support a diverse and inclusive culture and an employee experience focused on inclusion and belongingCreate and implement relevant D&I metrics & reporting mechanisms
Learning & DevelopmentManage the Kepler Employee Development ProgramSupport employees and managers with identifying skill gaps and learning & development opportunities to supporting closing skills gaps and to support individual professional development goals Manage the bi-annual performance assessment and quarterly goal setting activities Develop and implement internal learning activities for individual teams and all Kepler employees
Health & Safety:Lead the JHSC members through providing H&S expertise and general committee guidance Ensure a healthy and safe workplace environment for employees Maintain compliance initiatives related to workplace H&S such as training requirements, adherence to policies, WHMIS program maintenance etc.Support H&S continuous improvement initiatives such as workplace hazard analysis, implementation of new programs (example: Wellness program) etc.
Position Requirements: Bachelor Degree in Human Resources, or another relevant field5+ years’ experience in a HR position, with experience in all of the above areas of responsibility for the Talent Manager position Strong interpersonal and communication skillsExperience in a high growth startupDemonstrated ability to support strategic recruitment sourcing efforts as well as the development of new recruitment initiatives/programs for both tech and non-tech rolesExperience managing a HRIS and ATS
Bonus Points:Certificate or Post-Graduate degree (or equivalent) in Human ResourcesExperience in the telecommunications industryExperience in international recruitingDemonstrated extra-curricular or volunteer experience
