Project Coordinator

Kepler is changing the face of satellite communications by launching a constellation of telecommunication nanosatellites! With the recent success of our Series A funding, a handful of early customers, and our first five satellites in orbit, Kepler is currently doubling in size!

We invest heavily to deliver the best products to our customers, and so we are on the hunt
for a top-tier Project Coordinator.  

As Project Coordinator, you will work closely with our Technical Project Managers (TPM) your primary role is to help manage resources, schedules, and priorities across hardware and software teams across various projects.

You are the go-to person to provide quick answers on how much margin exists or how delayed a feature is, what resources are critical, what tasks should be prioritized and how much time specific tasks/projects took in the past (for planning purposes). You are expected to run software hardware and FPGA team scrums and maintain the most up to-date Gantt chart, and associated project Gantt charts.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment, and information
  • Regular meetings with subject matter experts and team leads for task planning
  • Support team/project leaders in decision making and planning
  • Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management while providing regular reports to team leads
  • Help manage the risk tracking process and work with TPM to eliminate blockers
  • Support budgetary planning, including personnel, equipment, and facilities for all current and future projects
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports
  • Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1 – 3 years of experience working in an engineering or technical environment
  • You have worked with software and hardware teams in the role of project coordinator – you know how to talk tech-lingo to engineers of various disciplines and understand what their jobs entail: the tasks, challenges, and costs of each position on a team are something you can appreciate
  • You love Excel spreadsheets and Gantt charts, and have the ability to interpret flowcharts, schedules and step-by-step action plans.
  • Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
  • You love organizing a project into realistic milestones and goals, and enjoy checking each one off as progress is made
  • You are highly organized and can successfully manage timelines for both your own work and the deliverables of projects under your purview
  • Bonus Points:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering
  • PMP Designation or in progress
  • Proficiency with JIRA
  • ·You have seen complicated software projects pre to post delivery and was involved with the issue tracking and feature addition processes
  • You have led a software team using Agile methodology
  • You have experience with relevant hobbies or University design
