Kepler is changing the face of satellite communications by launching a constellation of telecommunication nanosatellites! With the recent success of our Series A funding, a handful of early customers, and our first 13 satellites in orbit, Kepler is currently doubling in size!

You will work with the team to identify and respond to risks in ongoing developments at the ITU, CEPT and CITEL. This will include interfacing with the engineering team to understand the technical implications and being responsible for all initiatives to ensure Kepler’s interests are safeguarded at the relevant fora.

Main responsibilities:

Lead initiatives under ITU agenda item 1.18, 1.17 and 1.4

Advise on risks and business opportunities related to regulatory developments across the world

Interface with Regulators, clients and partners to understand their individual objectives and create

Develop industry and government contacts, which can be leveraged to pursue strategic priorities

A successful candidate will:

Own the entire ITU process and ensure that progress is made on 1.18 and 1.17 that supports the deployment of Kepler’s IoT network

Lobby for tolerances in WP7A that align with Kepler’s concept of operation

Seamlessly integrate complex technical showings into digestible reports to be presented at the various regulatory fora

Operate autonomously with a firm understanding of the company’s objectives

Demonstrate a clear ability to communicate and convince regulators of Kepler’s agenda

Position requirements:

Excellent command of technical references and RF concepts related to satellite constellations

Ability to create and dissect link budgets

Strong written English with the ability to effectively construct and convey technical arguments

Existing experience with the ITU, preferably in working groups 4 or 5

Understanding of CEPT and CITEL procedures

Strong interest in telecoms and satellite policy

Qualifications:

Mathematics, physics, engineering degree or International Affairs, Economics, or similar

Minimum 2 years’ experience in the telecommunications sector

Lobbying experience

Bonus points:

Fluency in a second language

Partaken in a prior World Radio Conference
