Kepler is changing the face of satellite communications by launching a constellation of telecommunication nanosatellites! With the recent success of our Series A funding, a handful of early customers, and our first two satellites in orbit, Kepler is currently doubling in size!

We invest heavily to deliver the best products to our customers, and so we’re on the hunt for a top-tier Field Applications Engineer, who will be our main field engineer responsible for supporting our end-users on everything from product installations and configurations, technical support, maintenance, upgrades and the overall customer experience journey.

This individual will work with minimal guidance to enable our customers success in using our products and services and growing their business alongside the evolution of Kepler’s product and service offerings. 

Position Responsibilities

  • Lead on-site customer installation, inspection, maintenance and upgrade processes
  • Attend customer sites, globally, to provide on-site support for commissioning, continuous operations and trouble-shooting of technical issues
  • Perform equipment testing at customer sites to determine root cause issues
  • Debug technical issues to ensure optimal equipment operations for customers and order/replace/upgrade customer equipment as necessary
  • Communicate issues, risks, limitations and/or constraints related to product/service offerings and equipment functionality to customers
  • Train customers on the use of both our equipment and our customer web portal
  • Share learnings with internal team members on customer requirements/needs to support the evolution of Kepler’s product development plans
  • Support ad hoc projects and initiatives as required (pre-sales support, customer surveys, attendance at conferences/events etc.) 
  • Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
  • 2 - 5 years of related experience required  
  • Experience working with networking/communications equipment, including configuration, application and troubleshooting of routers, switches and networks
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure, to effectively communicate and support customers
  • Ability to travel across Europe and North America approx. 75% - 90% of the time
  • Ability to work an on-call schedule inclusive of evenings, weekends and/or holidays 
  • Bonus Points

  • Master’s degree in engineering or related field
  • Experience in the Satellite Communications (Sat Com) industry
